ACCA Beijing held an awarding ceremony for the 20 newly Approved Employers at Novotel Peace Hotel on 20 Dec 2007. Ms Yao Zhijun, Chief Representative of ACCA Beijing, delivered the opening speech and awarded the AE certificates to the employer representatives who had formally received ACCA Approved Employer status in the Second half of 2007, Those AEs include Ernst & Young (China), LehmanBrown (China), The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited Xi'an Branch, Higher Education Press, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, CCB Principal Asset Management Co., Ltd, Beijing Baijiayi Food Co., Ltd, ASIMCO Technologies Limited, East Balt Bakery (China) Co., Ltd, Grant Thornton Zhong Gong Xin Certified Public Accountants, Resources Global Enterprise Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd, BP (China), Shell (China)… etc.
In the ceremony, guest speaker Mr. Wong Chae Sing, Associate Director of Protiviti, delivered a speech on Risk Management & Becoming a Risk Consultant and Protiviti’s China Cooperation with ACCA. He emphasized that ACCA is a forward-looking & dynamic professional organization with belief in PEOPLE, Protiviti especially values ACCA members in the following aspects:
- talents with strong financial and business background
- potential pioneers and leaders in risk management
- rich pool of resources with industrial experience
Following Mr Wong speech, Mr Arthur Loi, Managing Director of Resources Global Enterprise Consulting Co., Ltd, made another speech on Position in a Globalizing P.R.C. Accounting Market, he explained why his company has chosen to join ACCA AE scheme, and ACCA’s strengths on training and continued professional education and certifications, etc.
There were about 110 Approved Employers, members and media representatives participated in the ACCA Approved Employer Awarding Ceremony, and all of them gave very positive feedbacks and expressed their appreciations for ACCA Beijing’s effort spent on holding such an enjoyable gathering.
