Updated 18 Nov 2020

1. Are the December exams going ahead?

Yes, we are currently working alongside our exam delivery partners in preparation for delivering the upcoming December exam session in as many countries/regions as possible.

2. Are all December’s exams being run in ACCA exam centres?

No, due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic we have made the decision in a number of countries and regions to once again offer the exam contingency option of remotely invigilated exams.

Please visit the exams section of our website to find out the latest December session information, including the areas where centre exams have now moved to the remotely invigilated method.

More information on December’s remote exams can be found in the remote exams section of our website by clicking here.

A dedicated set of remote exam FAQs can be found here.

3. Is there any country/region which is unable to run any of ACCA’s session-based exams at this point?

No.

4. If there is a change in situation prior to the exam session, how will students be kept notified?

We’ll provide any key exam session updates, including unavoidable cancellations, via email. Please ensure you check the email account for the email address recorded on your ACCA account frequently for any updates.

You can check your registered email address by logging into your myACCA account and clicking My Details, then selecting Contact Details.  Please ensure your email address is kept updated and you have given the appropriate consent level to permit us to contact you with these updates.

5. What is the December exam session timetable for centre-based exams?

The December exam session is due to begin on 7 December, and the centre-based exam timetable can be found here.

6. What measures will be in place at exam centres to ensure the health and safety of students?

The health and safety of our staff and students remains the top priority.  Each country is subject to a differing set of Covid-related guidelines and regulations, as imposed by local authorities.  We assure you these guidelines will be adhered to in each location and we will only operate exams in locations where we have been given approval to do so by local authorities.

We will communicate to students in mid-November on the type of conditions and regulations which can be expected to be in place at exam centres for December.

These new guidelines include the gathering of personal information from our students to be passed onto the local authorities when required.

For students allocated outside of Lanzhou exam centres, please click here to navigate to the form being used to gather this information.

For students allocated in Lanzhou exam centres, please click here to navigate to the form being used to gather this information.

If you have filled in the form, please do not repeat filling it again.

All students should provide these details by deadline. (Form will be closed at Beijing time 12pm.) Any students who fail to provide the requested personal information by the above deadline may not be able to sit their Dec exam. All personal information will be securely handled and subject to GDPR guidelines.

7. What if wearing a face mask is mandatory at my exam centre but an underlying health condition prevents me from wearing one?

Any students in this situation must notify ACCA of their exemption prior to the exam via the ‘contact us’ form, so that we can check with your exam centre if it is possible to permit access without wearing a mask.

8.Will I be allowed to wear a face visor during my exam?

Yes, students will be permitted to wear a face visor during their exam, where local government guidance permits this.

9. Will my temperature be taken at the exam centre on the day?

All students should be aware that as a high temperature is one of the most common symptoms of Covid-19, your temperature may be taken before you are granted access to the exam hall on the day.

10. What date will I be able to amend my December exam entry until?

Students were able to make exam entry amendments without being charged until the standard entry deadline, which has now passed.

11. What if I am unable to attend the December exam due to an exceptional reason?

Any students in this scenario should follow the standard exam withdrawal process as per the guidance found here in the main exams FAQs, titled: ‘What happens if I enter an exam and then can no longer take it?’

This includes any students unable to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic control, resulting in clashing with their school / university exam timetable, or an unexpected change in their exam centre town/city.

If you are unable to attend due to Covid-19, please submit your request with supporting documentary evidence, which may include a medical letter, quarantine request from the government, relevant screenshot of a health tracing app, travel to/information of a high risk area impacting your exam attendance plans or other.

The December withdrawals deadline is 23 December.

12. If the exam centre address in exam planner is still showing as ‘TBA’, when can I expect for this to be available?

Due to the logistical challenges brought about by the pandemic, and the need to follow local government guidance to enable us to run exams safely (such as social distancing measures), it has not been possible to source all exam centres as normal.  This means there are still some centre addresses to be confirmed on the systems so the details are not currently showing on exam planner.

Although we are aiming to have all addresses confirmed by the scheduled exam docket release dates (see further below), it is likely that some will be confirmed after these dates.

If this is the case for an exam centre you are booked into, you will be contacted by email on 23 November and advised when your docket will be available.

13. What if I’ve been allocated to a different exam centre from that chosen by me, and the allocated exam centre is not suitable?

Where entries exceed the capacity at any particular centre it may occasionally be necessary for ACCA to transfer candidates to another centre.  In such instances ACCA reserve the right to transfer candidates to the nearest alternative centre.

As per ACCA’s exam entry terms and conditions, ACCA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule exams without prior notice and to amend or alter published exams, fees and exam venues.

If you are unable to attend your exam, please follow the standard exam withdrawal process to apply, as per the guidance found here.

14. When will December exam attendance dockets be released?

All Mainland China exam dockets will be released on 23 November and students will be notified by email that their docket is now available.

However, there may be a small number of students we’re still unable to confirm final venue details for.  Students in this category will be contacted by email on 23 November and given an update on when dockets will become available.

15. What if I still do not have access to my exam docket after the above release dates?

It is likely that you are booked into one of the exam centres whereby we have not yet been able to confirm the final address and make your docket available - please bear with us whilst we finalise these details.  We’ll email you on 23 November if you fall into this category and advise when your docket will become available.

If you have received the email notification of docket availability and are still unable to access it, please contact us via the following form.

16. What message shows on-screen if I try to download my docket but I’m one of the students in the scenario above whereby venue details haven’t yet been finalised?

You will see the following message: “Please note your exam docket is currently unavailable, please try again later.”

17. What if the exam booking details on my docket are different to those held on the exam planner, which one will be correct?

The exam attendance docket provides students with the final exam booking details each session and should be used by students as official confirmation of their exam time/date and address.

If your exam booking details change for any reason after dockets have been released, we will update you via email and provide your new booking details.  You should then download a new copy of your docket and take it to your exam.

18. For Mainland China students, where can I go for further information?

For Mainland China students, if you have any further questions then please contact us through customerservicechina@accaglobal.com

没有。

在这种情况下,所有学员都应该按照英文官网上的“Students’ FAQs on exams”,遵循标准的考试退考流程进行申请,该部分可以查看标题为“What happens if I enter an exam and then can no longer take it? ”。

您将看到以下提示信息: “Please note your exam docket is currently unavailable, please try again later.”
